Monitoring Your Website Earnings
After checking your emails, you will find it difficult not
to find out how much you have earned in the past day. The
earning we are talking about here is the earning from ad
networks, contextual ad programs such as Google Adsense,
affiliate programs, ebay etc.
Google Adsense
If you are using Google Adsense on your website, log in to
http://www.google.com/adsense and log in using your
registered email and password. You will instantly see your
earnings for the current day there.
But seeing the $ figure does not end your duty. Click on
'Top Channels' link just beside 'AdSense for content' and 'AdSense
for search' to see which channels have performed best. Monitor
your page impressions, clicks and eCPM and compare it with
other days. This will help you take effective steps to
increase your revenue. take an overall look at the stats for
the current month and compare it with the previous month's
revenues. Comparison will help you determine how to channelize
your future efforts to earn maximum revenue.
You might also want to check if
your past month's payment has been accrued and the check
mailed out to you. You can do that by clicking on 'My Account'
and then on 'Payment History' both found on top of the page.

Ad Networks
If you are using an Ad Network to
serve ads on your website, you should log in daily to view how
much you earned each day, how many impressions were served
during that day and what was the fill % of the ads. This will
help you see how you are performing in comparison with
previous day or month and help you take corrective measures.
Next, see which ads were
displayed and which ones earned you most revenue. Remove any
non-paying or less-paying ads using your control panel.

Affiliate Programs
If you have any affiliate
programs, log in to see whether you have made any sales. Even
if there are no sales, you should be able to see how many
people have clicked on your affiliate links and which are the
most popular products. All good affiliate programs have
detailed stats that you can look for yourself. You can
consider displaying the more popular products conspicuously so
that they make more sales.
